About Our Company

Mothers Choice Products was started in 1993 by Sandra Hass, a registered nurse specializing in maternal child health. While teaching prenatal classes and after having her third child she came to the realization that there was very little selection of quality products for mothers. As well, there was a need for leadership for the retailers that wanted someone to identify the top products and brands but who didn’t have the experience or time to learn which ones were the best.

Sandra began the business by distributing Ameda breast pumps and accessories, the same brand that hospitals have trusted and used since 1942. These products were so well received in the retail locations that it was decided to expand the product line to include other items to help moms and their growing families..

Over the years, Mothers Choice began to distribute other complementary products that provide similar high value for families:

• IMP Prints offers a line of products that allow mothers to make precious keepsakes of their newborn by capturing a hand or footprint on paper and all within the comfort of their own home.
• Dimpleskins Naturals is an all-natural skin and body care line that is manufactured by hand to ensure the highest standards are met.
• Baby Bistro is a wonderful source of recipes and nutritional guide for mothers seeking the optimal information for their newborns and toddlers.
• Kalencom offers a vibrant line of designer style Diaper Bags and accessories at affordable prices.
• Angel Care Maternity Band and post-partum garment provides a supportive band for the pregnant and post-partum mom made to conform to their body shape.
• PumpEase™ frees up time for new moms by facilitating hands free breast milk pumping.
• NaturzAire™ eliminates odors by containing a naturally occurring volcanic mineral that is safe to use around children, pets, and persons with asthma or chemical sensitivities.
• Tenscare offers labour pain relief and stimulation to help with incontinence issues.
• HairyKids is an excellent way to wash your kids (and adults too!) hair and body. HairyKids is all-natural, made in small batches right here in Canada with only the highest quality ingrediants. It comes in unscented which is safe for newborns and lightly scented beachy bubbles for infants one year and up.

In 2009 Mothers Choice Products was given the prestigious Business of the Year award by the Richmond Chamber of Commerce. "Business in Vancouver" has also recognized Mothers Choice Products as one of British Columbia's 50 Fastest Growing Companies and made Canada's Profit 200 list 2 years in a row. Additionally, Sandra has been recognized as one of Canada's top women Entrepreneurs and is also member of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.
